A very special cabin to view the wild life
Cnocaruan is the ideal coastal cottage for exploring all Argyll has to offer in scenery, wildlife and history.
Built as a ship master's house in 1895 the house is wonderfully close to the water and you will have grey seals, herons, oyster catchers, cormorants, otters and canoeists for company.
For weekly lets with friday arrival, the house has a cosy living room as an open fireplace, logs provided, leather chesterfield suite and Smart TV, DVD player and lots of rainy day DVD's, local books and glossy magazines and Wi-Fi available (not fibre).
Sitting room with comfy seats that overlook the deck and the water. Binoculars are provided to spy the local wild life.
Dining room with original fireplace, dining for 4 and board games & internet radio.
The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Senseo coffee machine, halogeen hob with double oven and a lot of little extras like herbs & spices, coffee, tea, nice shortbread, dishwasher tablets and a complementary bottle of wine waiting for you. Washing machine and dryer available for your use.
Upstairs 2 generous sized bedrooms- a Super King size and 1 twin, made up with crisp white linen.
Bathroom with large cast iron bath, separate shower, washbasin, WC, shaver socket, hair dryers, toiletries and fluffy towels provided.
Outside large decking area with seating, chimenea and magnificent views over Loch Etive.
Enjoy the new addition: The Hide Out, a loch side cabin offering a unique vantage point complete with log burner to view the local wild life close up.
If you are looking for accommodation for up to 8 then our neighbouring cottage (Cnocaruan Sea View) is suitable since it can be connected easily by adjoining hallway for a larger family getaway.
Ample parking provided in the private driveway.
Connel village is only 5 miles from the lively harbour town of Oban with a good range of amenities, including a general store & post office, three licensed hotels with restaurants. It also has a regular bus service and is on the Glasgow-Oban train line.
We dearly love Scotland with it's fantastic wild life & scenery and will be able to give our guests the insiders guide to special places to visit. Our properties are equipped and furnished with all the things we would like to find when we are away for a break and we rate cleanliness very high.
